Stainless Steel World is the premier international forum for exchanging knowledge and experience in the manufacture and application of stainless steels . The event contributes to a better understanding of recent trends in new alloy developments , welding , fabrication , surface treatment and materials specification .
Interactive conference sessions will focus on new alloy developments , welding , additive manufacturing , emerging applications for stainless steels and their contribution to sustainability . Presentations will cover high-temperature applications , corrosion , duplex and manufacturing developments . This year ’ s particular focus is the use of stainless steel in green energy technologies . Furthermore , a panel of stainless experts will be on hand to solve your technical issues at the conference and on the expo floor , where a whole spectrum of social events will occur .

Focus on Sustainability Day

Sustainability is the keyword these days and companies are taking major initiatives in the area of sustainable stainless steel production , processing and use . Recognizing the goals of the energy transition , the stainless steel industry is already developing and applying innovative technologies to tackle the low-carbon challenge . In recent years in particular , many stainless steel companies have initiated major projects towards decarbonization , with the aim of becoming carbon neutral by 2050 . To facilitate the essential sustainability conversation during the Stainless Steel World Conference & Expo 2023 , Stainless Steel World will host a ‘ Focus on Sustainability Day ’ on Wednesday 27 September 2023 .
➤ In the morning the Conference will incorporate a program of conference sessions dedicated to the technical and strategic approaches implemented by companies who aim to produce and use stainless steel with a minimal carbon footprint .
➤ In the afternoon on the Exhibition floor , the ‘ Focus on Sustainability Expo Forum ’ will host a selected group of companies who will present and discuss their initiatives in the areas of sustainable stainless steel production , processing and usage .
The Focus on Sustainability Expo Forum will be formatted as an open-access forum to facilitate essential engagement from the assembled audience of stainless steel industry professionals . So take the opportunity to join this free open access sustainability discussion .
