WIKA has equipped the majority of its portfolio with a standardised product passport . Users can access product data and technical documents directly via a QR code on the instrument . The QR code is based on an intelligent serial number that uniquely identifies each instrument . The pressure gauges and mechanical thermometers made of stainless steel currently have this intelligent feature . WIKA is a pioneer in the market for dial measuring instruments . The WIKA product passport contains all the information required for unique and global instrument identification in accordance with the IEC 61406 standard . It makes it even easier to reorder the respective measuring instruments and integrate them into existing systems . This considerably simplifies maintenance and logistics processes . All other technical documents can also be accessed at any time via the QR code : Data sheets , operating instructions , certificates , and approvals . This means that users always have easy access to the information they need , allowing them to utilise their individual instrument data efficiently .

Energy Services ( Aurora ) has launched an Integrated Services offering for the oil and gas and renewables sectors and will recruit 30 project delivery specialists in the next six months to provide a “ nimble cost effective ” full lifecycle service . The Aberdeen division will be headed up by brothers Josh and Kane Winton , experienced project managers . Focusing on engineering design , procurement , offshore and onshore installation , construction , and decommissioning activities , the full-service offering will also specialise in digital asset surveys .
Renishaw releases 5 materials files for RenAM 500
L & T secures an order from ITER
Larsen & Toubro ( L & T ) has secured an order from the Franceheadquartered intergovernmental body - the ITER organisation for the deployment of critical advanced technologies for the assembly of ports & complex parts with the Vacuum Vessel at the nuclear fusion project at Cadarache in Southern France . The value of the order ranges between Rs 1,000 crore to Rs 2,500 crore . The Company also inked an MoU with the ITER Organization - for technical collaboration on the project . Under the MoU , L & T will help the ITER Organization with the development of ‘ state of the art ’ technology for the ‘ first of a kind ’ hardware and assembly of all such fusion relevant systems inside the vacuum vessel of

has released five new materials files for use on its RenAM 500 metal additive manufacturing machines . Users of the RenAM 500 series of machines will now be able to process pure copper , H13 tool steel , Hastelloy X alloy , superduplex stainless steel , and AlSi7Mg aluminium alloy , opening up a range of new applications . Renishaw is releasing these five material files for its laser powder bed fusion ( LPBF ) systems to ‘ support the everchanging needs of its customers .’ The company worked directly with customers to develop process parameters for the new alloys , with the material datasheets of each material including results of Plastometrex ’ s proprietary PIP ( Profilometry-based Indentation Plastometry ) testing for the first time . By facilitating rapid , direct testing on different sections of AM parts , the PIP method is designed to provide a more precise and efficient evaluation of a part ’ s mechanical properties . Additionally , Renishaw has added new powder layer thicknesses to its current processable materials , including 90 μm titanium grade 23 , 70 μm stainless steel 316L , and 120 μm Inconel 718 parameters that achieve exceptional material build rates .
