Outokumpu signs an agreement with Greenland Resources

With a total annual capacity of 417,000 metric tons , the new system improves the removal of carbon and other impurities from stainless steel , ensuring superior quality and efficiency . This upgrade will enable Baosteel Desheng to meet the increasing demand for high-grade materials used in various industries , including automotive , aerospace , and construction . SMS Group , in partnership with Baosteel Engineering and Technology Group Co ., Ltd ., worked closely to ensure the seamless integration of the VOD system into the existing plant infrastructure .
Expert 3.0 control from EWM for MIG / MAG XQ machines
Outokumpu has signed an off-take agreement with Canadian mining company Greenland Resources Inc . for the future supply of a strategically important raw material at competitive prices . The agreement covers approximately 8 million pounds of molybdenum per year ( value approximately USD 160M at current market prices ), representing roughly half of the annual need for Outokumpu . The company ’ s total raw material procurement , including molybdenum , is approximately EUR 3bn annually . The off-take agreement supports Outokumpu to further decarbonize and continue its long-term strategy for sustainable and cost-competitive value-chain integration . The agreement provides Outokumpu with a solid base load of molybdenum for business area Europe . The company aims to strengthen its position within advanced materials and molybdenum is a critical raw material for the production of specialty stainless steel .

Welspun Corp has secured INR 3,000 crore worth of orders for natural gas pipeline projects in the United States . The new contracts include two major orders for HSAW Pipes and additional orders for HFIW Pipes , primarily for supplying coated pipes for natural gas transmission . With these new additions , Welspun Corp ’ s consolidated order book now stands at approximately INR 18,000 crore , further strengthening its position in the oil and gas pipeline sector . The company expects to execute these orders during FY26 and FY27 .
