Management changes at Royal Van Leeuwen
Peter Rietberg will step down as Chairman of the Management Board of Royal Van Leeuwen , and Joop Sassen Peter Rietberg will be appointed as the new Chairman . Sassen has been with the company since 1992 and a member of the Management Board and CEO since 2007 . Hans Weerstra and Vincent Geerts will also be appointed to the Management Board . Weerstra has been with Van Leeuwen since 1999 and is currently a member of the Executive Board . Geerts has been with the company since 2021 , as CFO and also as a member of the Executive Board .
Outokumpu appoints Jehl President
Outokumpu has appointed Matthieu Jehl as President of the business line Stainless Europe , and a member of the Outokumpu Matthieu Jehl Leadership Team . Matthieu joins Outokumpu from ArcelorMittal , where he served as CEO in different countries within Europe . He also worked with John Cockerill as President for the Energy division . Matthieu will be based at Outokumpu ’ s office in Krefeld , Germany .
Eramet appoints Castellari as CEO
Eramet has appointed Paulo Castellari as Chief Executive Officer . Castellari has over 30 years ’ experience in mining and metals as well as
Paulo Castellari in the fertilizers and energy industries . From 2003 to 2015 , at Anglo American , he served as Director , Marketing & Business Development in Brazil , Head of the Group ’ s Centre of Excellence , CEO , Phosphates and Niobium businesses in Brazil , then as CEO , Iron Ore Brazil . In 2016 , he was appointed Deputy CEO and Chief Financial Officer of CEMIG , before joining EGA , as CEO of Guinea Alumina Corporation . Since 2019 , Paulo Castellari has been CEO of the Brazilian branch of Appian Capital Advisory .
Omega appoints Houston Non-Executive Chair
Omega Oil & Gas Limited has appointed Martin Houston Non-Executive Chair . Houston brings over four decades of global experience in the oil and gas industry , having commenced his career as a petroleum geologist in 1979 . His extensive expertise includes leadership roles in exploration , production and liquefied natural gas ( LNG ).
Akhoondan joins MP as Technical Editor
Dr Mersedeh Akhoondan is joining the Materials Performance ( MP ) team as Technical Editor . In this role , Akhoondan will be responsible for selecting and reviewing MP ’ s technical articles . She will collaborate with authors , members , and the magazine ’ s editorial advisory board to provide readers with timely and accurate technical content . Dr Akhoondan has over 15 years of experience in corrosion control and condition assessment of water and wastewater facilities , bridge infrastructures , solar power plants , and transit systems . She has served as a corrosion specialist for HDR Engineering for over 12 years , collaborating with HDR ’ s multidisciplinary design teams across the United States and internationally .
Per Eklund President Strip Division Alleima
Per Eklund has been appointed as President for the Strip division and member of the Group Executive Management
Per Eklund for Alleima . Per has more than 25 years of experience from various roles in marketing , sales , business development , and strategy . He has many years of experience working within Alleima and from several divisions within the company . He returned to Alleima in July 2024 after several years at Sandvik Coromant , most recently as Head of Strategy Execution and Corporate Business Development .
ArcelorMittal appoints Negresiolo as CEO
ArcelorMittal has appointed Everton Negresiolo as CEO of its South American Long Products and mining business and a member of the group management committee . Everton joined ArcelorMittal in 2010 as a commercial specialist in the company ’ s Brazilian operations . From 2010 to 2020 he worked in a range of senior roles in procurement , logistics , supply chain and sales functions , before being appointed CEO of Acindar in 2020 . In 2023 , he was appointed VP for commercial and metallics , ArcelorMittal South America Long Products , before becoming CEO of ArcelorMittal South America Long Products in June 2024 .
