coilDNA : Seamless traceability of the delivered strips
NetZero Metals develops two Ni facilities
coilDNA , as a 100 % subsidiary of AMAG Austria Metall AG , is a start-up in the field of digitalisation based in Linz / Austria . The business is based on a patented technology for marking and tracking continuously produced semi-finished products . These include coils and sheets , extruded or roll-formed profiles , as well as hoses or cables . coilDNA-marked strips allow seamless traceability of the delivered strips and sheets , as well as the parts created from them through further processing , including their properties and manufacturing parameters . Specially developed coilDNA apps enable AMAG customers to communicate and coordinate quickly , easily , and by product once the coilDNA code has been scanned . Achieving this was only possible with LEIBINGER ’ s highly reliable coding & marking technology .
Canada Nickel Company Inc . has announced that NetZero Metals Inc . intends to develop two processing facilities in the Timmins Nickel District . These initiatives are expected to represent an important economic development for the Timmins Nickel District and provide significant additional capacity to fill a critical link in the development of North American critical minerals supply chains and the province ’ s electric vehicle strategy . Each production facility is expected to utilize Canada Nickel ’ s carbon storage capacity at its Crawford Nickel project to deliver zero-carbon nickel , stainless steel , and alloy production . The Company is currently at the site-selection stage , considering several sites in the region . The Company is also in the process of choosing engineering firms to complete the design of both facilities and expects to announce the selected firms shortly . The nickel processing plant expected to begin production by 2027 .

Fluor secures EPC contract from H2 Green Steel
Fluor Corporation has announced that H2 Green Steel has selected Fluor to provide engineering , procurement , and construction management services at the world ’ s first renewable hydrogen-based integrated ‘ green steel ’ mill in Boden , Sweden . Fluor ’ s scope includes a melt shop , casting , rolling , and finishing facilities for the project ’ s steelmaking plant . The H2 Green Steel site will produce five million tonnes of steel annually by 2030 , with up to 95 % less CO2 emissions compared to steel produced using traditional blast furnace technology .
