Full range of steel products Snel Staal specializes in the delivery of various steel products . We are the independent supplier of steel products and parts , ranging from raw materials to fully machined products . Since the foundation in 1973 , we have been working with several reliable and specially selected European manufacturers and processing companies . They meet our quality criteria and are of course ISO certified .
Our customers are active in the oil and gas industry , offshore , food industry , equipment and machine construction and shipping . Their specific questions , requirements and needs are essential to everything we do and deliver . Thanks to our extensive network and decades of experience , we know exactly where we can make the right match between supply and demand . This applies to the composition of the steel as well as the shapes , sizes , treatments and variable delivery times .
We prove our added value time and again , especially when it comes to custom work , unique products , deviating dimensions and special material specifications . ‘ Your specials , our common practice ’ is therefore a firm promise .
Different steel types Steel is available in more than 2000 different compositions . The choice of steel type depends on several factors , including processing and use . Many of our customers know exactly which type of steel they prefer .
Where necessary , we as experienced experts can of course advise the right composition or recommend an alternative .
The steel grades are available according to international standards such as EN , DIN , ASTM , ASME , BS and AFNOR . In addition , customer-specific alloys are also possible on request .
Strong in industrial forging The emphasis of our delivery program is on raw and ( semi- ) finished products , especially forgings . The great advantage of forging is that all products have an equal composition and ( after heat treatment ) structure . This leads to a rearrangement of the microcrystals and refinement of the grain size of the metal . The result ? A reinforced steel product , especially when we look at impact resistance , shock absorption and shear strength . Very suitable for heavy industrial use .
The range of possibilities is enormous . For example , we supply forgings weighing from a few kilos to more than 70,000 kilos . We are also able to supply rings and flanges with a diameter of more than 7000 mm .
Products Snel Staal is a supplier of a huge range of steel products , in all shapes and sizes . Standard products are often available from stock , for all other products we work on order with ( international ) manufacturers and suppliers .
We supply large numbers of rings and flanges , bars and tubes , running wheels , and crane hooks .
These products are supplied unmachined , as semi-finished products or with final processing . That depends entirely on the requirements / wishes of the customer . We have been ISO 9002 certified since 1990 and all factories and forwarders have to meet strict quality requirements .
