ITER: Igniting the future of with a
Fusion holds the promise of sustainable, non-carbon-emitting energy. The tokamak magnetic fusion device called ITER taking shape in France is designed as a major step up from existing research machines towards practical power plants. ITER’ s goal is to achieve a fusion gain( Q) greater than 10, meaning it will produce 500 MW of thermal power while consuming 50 MW of input power.
