So in the blistering heat we managed to notch up our second W of the season against the Lincolnshire Bombers in what proved to be a very good game. The Surge did not let the heat get to them and in the 2 nd half after a well earned rest come straight out the blocks to secure the W on the board and take our season to 2-5. Today we welcome the 6-2 Manchester Titans to Surge Field in our last game at home for the season. I only started with the team this year and I assure you I will be counting the days down until the KO of the 2014 season. I hope you will all join me in saying what a good season it has been and that we are proud of every player who has worn the Surge jersey this season. Now the hard work begins getting a team for the 2014 season as well as getting a larger fan base to support the team.
This team this year can not be faulted for there effort, commitment and determination that every player has shown threw out the campaign and I would personally like to congratulate every player who has put on a Surge uniform this season for a truly memorable first season following you guys and I look forward to seeing you all suit up ready for the 2014 season.
