Staffordshire Surge Gameday Magazine vs Manchester Titans, Gameday 8 | Page 17

We have done a Q & A with a few of the Manchester Titans players to get there take on there team and there season and who you should look out for today.
A word from the GM of the Manchester Titans Jon Homer
“ This year was really always going to be a transitional year for the team with a new management team and coaching staff coming in. Having said that we’ re pleased with the majority of the performances on the field( still in the hunt for the playoffs) and we’ re in a much more stable state behind the scenes with a new Sponsor in Manchester Printers and being involved in lots of PR events at Manchester City, the Rugby League World Cup, etc.
Coach Dias is starting to put his mark on the team but it’ s next year he’ s going to expect the team to really step up and play at the level he expects them to.”

Joined an Adult team and when they folded in 1995 I just started working so I took a break. When we came back from the States, I figured, I’ m only 34, I’ ve still got a couple of years left. How did you hear about the Titans: My wife got a job in Manchester working with one of the original Titan players so I joined them. I think I was 5th String QB at the start of the season but by the playoffs I was starting, and have been here ever since. Best game you have played in for the Titans: Last game of the season last year at home against DC – I was 16 of 17 for 5 TDs. And the one incomplete pass was dropped … Who is your NFL team: NY Giants Who is your College Team: University of California, Berkeley( Cal) – my wife used to work there. If you are not playing American football what else do you do: Maybe referee, maybe coach. Possibly play cricket. But I’ m sure my wife would say –“ spend more time with the family”.
