Niagara Falls

Hurray! We have reached Buffalo International Airport where the final destination for the day
was. It was my summer vacation and my grandparents are visiting us from India, so we thought
it would be a great idea to see Niagara Falls -- one of the natural wonder of the world.
To spend the night, we stayed at a hotel called Marriott Courtyard. Everything is great there,
even the customer service. It is a hotel chain all over America ready to serve Americans the
service they deserve. Anyway, in the morning, we ate a delicious breakfast. After that, we drove
off in a rental car from the airport and onto Niagara Falls. The drive was not very long. And
finally, I saw the beautiful scene of the falls. Wow, I was surprised because I came here before
when I was a baby, and I slept the whole trip. But now, I have come again to Niagara Falls. It is
near the border of America and Canada. It is one of the most wonderful and remarkable
landmarks in the whole entire world.
I looked around here and there about the beautiful landmark. Millions of people come to see this
wonder of nature every year. I saw some people are doing activities so bizarre that it might get
frightening, if not deadly. Oh well, there was nothing really to get afraid of, because fun and joy
along the way during the journey. This park or whatever recreation you want to call, it is full of
nature and water. It is like you really want to do it for a challenge, but also for fun. One of the
activities were Maid of the Mist. There is a ferryboat which takes you on a wet adventure near
the falls of joy. It is an exciting journey on the water of Niagara Falls. You get drenched with
mist of the gushing water falling from the falls every time you get near it. It might be frightening
at first, but when the wind blows against your face and sound of falling water beats your ear
drum, you drink nature to your heart’s content.
And now, for the final event of all, the Cave of the Winds. This is where the feeling of
excitement came to me the most in the whole trip. Here, it is the falls that is giving out all its
energy, the force of the water. It is where you have to go up many stairs until you are at the top.
The top means 1/6 of the height of the falls. And when you get there, a burst of energy in form of
gushing water suddenly explodes on your face.
Now it might sound exciting and tempting, but the safety of yourself and others need to be
careful about. But do not worry, this event is really the only thing that you can get gallons of
water on your face and your body. You are covered with already a raincoat, so please enjoy it.
Later we saw documentary movie on the falls in the visitor center. I have learnt that many things
have occurred here in the history of the falls, moments from joy to daring acts by some
courageous people. After all, Niagara Falls is also full of brutal force and integrity. So, hop onto
this amazing journey of the falls.
This experience of the falls was the best ever yet!
