My Cruise Voyage
Somalya Das
I have been so excited in the night before we boarded on the cruise ship. I could not even sleep a
second. The next morning when we woke up, my parents and me packed our bags. We headed to
Houston, TX and the drive took like 5 hours, because of a lunch break.
When we got there, I was hoping that the cruise ship would not sink. My family boarded on the
Carnival Triumph and strolled to Deck #9. We went to our cabin for some rest. Our cabin was
like a room in a hotel. It seemed like the party had just started outside. There were different
varieties of food every day.
Foods were awesome and from different countries. Ice cream comes in all sorts of flavors and
available 24/7. Even I saw a swimming pool installed with the ship. Also ship had different
programs and shops inside. Camp Carnival was a daycare within the ship. Finally when we
approached the Cozumel in Mexico, it was like a bustling bee. Our guide gave us a tour on a bus
around the beautiful island.
The history there was very rich. Traditions were unique and special to the Mayan people. Mexico
did have a declaration with Spain. After the tour, we went to a restaurant and ate chicken
