Foreword from the Minister of Education National Reconciliation and Information
The Publication of our Annual Education Statistical Digest is a pertinent exercise for the Ministry of Education. This document is often used by government officials, statisticians, researchers, educators, students, parents and a host of other end-users who are interested in the business of education in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
We endeavour each year to improve the standard and the accuracy of the information provided and to make the publication more user friendly. The digest provides a range of data in a concise manner on the performance of the various sectors of the education system from pre-primary to the tertiary level. We continue each year to extend the amount of information provided as we account for the performances of the various sub-sectors.
Our Education Statistical Digests from the 2015-2016 publication onwards are now also available as digital copies online. The digital format has increased the speed at which end-users can navigate the documents to retrieve data that interest them. They are also more user-friendly and appealing to the online community of which we are happy to please.
Finally, I am extending my gratitude to all of the persons who would have contributed to 2017-2018 edition of the Education Statistical Digest. As per usual, I encourage persons as they use the digest, to provide us with all of the critical feedback and relevant comments that will assist us to improve the publication.
