Art Class By Kat Keen The clock was ticking by extremely slowly. The picture on my laptop was starting to get extremely annoying to copy. My pencil was almost dull and I'd already sharpened it three times, so I didn't want to go up anymore. I felt a tap on my shoulder. “Hey, Rosie, how much longer until we can get out of here?” Talia Roane, my best friend and model for my project, was leaning over her desk. Without context, this may seem odd, but it was just actually art class. We were drawing another person in our class, and Talia and I were using each other as models. “Like...seven minutes.” I whispered back, rubbing a pencil- stained hand over my face. I turned back around to continue drawing Talia’s face. It was taking forever. Finally, the bell rang and I started packing up. She walked up behind me and put an arm around my shoulder as we both walked into the big hallway that we called our high school.
