Students who have shown
excellence in their academic
studies, sports and contribute and participate in a positive way to school life at St. Paul’s Community College are acknowledged at the Annual
Awards Night Celebration.
Student of the Year: This is a much coveted award and a great honour for any student to receive. It acknowledges work ethic and academic excellence over their six years in the school.
Peter Rowley Cup: This award which was constituted in memory of the late Peter Rowley who was a P.E. Teacher here at St. Paul’s Community College acknowledges a students’ commitment to sporting life at
St. Paul's Creative Arts Awards: Recognises a student who has shown creativity and enthusiasm for the arts. It includes all Art forms, Visual, Music, Technology, Creative Writing, Film making, Woodwork, and Metalwork etc. This award also acknowledges the extracurricular activities of the recipient for example, dance and playing musical instruments which over the course of their time in St. Paul’s they have shared with the community.
School Completion Award: The School Completion Programme (SCP) is a Department of Education and Science programme that aims to have a significant positive impact on levels of young people's retention in primary and second level schools. It acknowledges the resilience of the student who may have found at times it challenging to engage with educational system.
Endeavour Award: Recognise students' extra efforts in their academic, sporting, cultural and school service pursuits.
Tom Fitzgerald Cup (Construction): In memory of the late Tom Fitzgerald who was a woodwork Teacher here at the time of his sudden death in 1989.
TUI (Engineering Cup): This prize is awarded to a student who has performed with distinction in their engineering class.
