Perthshire man accused of complicity in
death of Terror Suspect!
Controversy surrounds the apparently state sponsored elimination of a man
regarded by many as a liberal thinking emancipator - but seen by those in
power as a dangerous radical with the potential to destabilise not merely his
own country, but the entire world.
There has been 24/7 coverage of the outrage, speculation on the motives
and identity of the perpetrators and almost universal condemnation of the
barbarous methods used by them to eliminate a man who seemed to pose
little threat to their rule.
Less, however, has been said or written about the role played by a Scot in
the whole sordid matter and yet he might have prevented the tragedy which
could, potentially, lead to Armageddon as positions become entrenched and
sabres rattle ever more loudly!
Allegedly born in Fortingall, Perthshire and one of the very many Scots who
throughout history have travelled abroad to achieve high office in the service
of other people's empires, his opportunity to intervene and halt the
juggernaut of a rogue state from claiming another victim was ultimately
sacrificed on the altar of obsequious complicity with an amalgam of mob rule
and government fomented outrage.
Uncharacteristically for a Son of Scotland, this timorous creature abrogated
his responsibilities and allowed a man whose innocence of any crime other
than to question the rights of the few to impose their will on the many to go
to a horrible death.
He will be remembered not for what he did, but for what he didn’t do and for
what might have happened had he had the courage of his convictions.
Despite our best efforts to interview him for this article, Pontius Pilate was
not available for comment!
Anon
First they came for the Socialists,
No man is an island,
and I did not speak out—
Entire of itself.
B ecause I was not a Socialist.
Each is a piece of the continent,
Then they came for the Trade
A part of the main.
Unionists, and I did not speak
If a clod be washed away by the
out—
sea,
Because I was not a Trade
Europe is the less.
Unionist.
As well as if a promontory were.
Then they came for the Jews, and
As well as if a manor of thine own
I did not speak out—
Or of thine friend's were.
Because I was not a Jew.
Each man's death diminishes me,
Then they came for me—and
For I am involved in mankind.
there was no one left to speak for
Therefore, send not to know
me.
For whom the bell tolls,
Martin Niemöller
It tolls for thee. John Dunne
