Letters received by Rev Lesley-ann from the daughters of Freda Pearce
To all the Congregation,
I would just like to say on behalf of myself, James and family thank you to
everyone for the send-off at Freda’s funeral. It was a great celebration of her
life and Lesley-ann the minister made it an uplifting and beautiful service. My
mum was some lady who enjoyed her life and loved the church and would
do anything for anybody she met in her life
My mum met my dad in London in 1948 and came to Scotland and then to
St Oswald’s church and the rest is history. She was a very talented woman
with so many hobbies and she could put her had to anything.
I would like to say a special thank you to Peter Scoles, her very good friend
and for making her laugh. They had a great time going round the shops
looking for all the bargains.
She will be sadly missed by so many people. Freda has big shoes to fill,
hopefully if I can fill ONE then I am half way there.
