I feel that our church building has become beautiful, we the church family are welcoming and ready. God wastes nothing, He never prepares ground and then doesn’t make use of what he has done. The readings maybe gloomy right now but we are not. Come Lord, work your purpose out and make us busy with new people in your church. Every blessing Lesley-ann + DIOCESAN GROWTH STRATEGY The Diocesan Mission Growth Strategy is gathering pace! The Joint Launch Service, took place at Holy Trinity and St Barnabas, Paisley on Tuesday June 7 th 2011 pm, when we all committed to its aims and objectives. This Strategy is not a programme for growth which has a finite time limit on it. It’s not something we started and then let stop. It is part of who we are, what we believe and where we are going, so perhaps it’s time to remind ourselves: • • • We are a pilgrim people who travel with God’s Grace; We are followers of a God who sent His Son into the world and who in turn sends us; We are a community of believers who want to share our faith, and give to others the gift we have been given! We, as a church, need to be considering where we would like to see growth... perhaps into the local community... perhaps with young people and 4
