I went to Seattle in the USA to visit my son James, daughter- in-law Mylene and grand- daughter Aliya. Seattle is a beautiful place on the West Coast of America with lots of places to visit and things to do. There is a museum called SAM (Seattle Art Museum). Mylene and I went there and saw the Yves Saint Laurent collection and life story. The styles were amazing! Pike Place Market, which is always busy with visitors from all over the country/world, is worth a visit and there are lots of beautiful shops and eating places. All these places are situated at the most beautiful water front called Puget Sound where you can sit out and watch the boats come and go against the back-drop of the most impressive Mount Rainier. There are also plenty of theatres to choose from. We went to Bellvue and saw La La Land. It was great. We also went to a TV recording studio and it was interesting to see how it works. After the show we had our photos taken with the TV host Magaret Larson. James recorded it and, when we got back, we saw ourselves on TV. We flew out to Palm Springs on Christmas Day. Now that is another beautiful place. James hired a car while we were there. I will not tell you all we did there but we did go to The Living Desert Gardens. All sorts of plants, palm trees and the animals were “awesome” . We had a guided tour of Elvis Presley's honeymoon home. We also visited the Shield Date Gardens. It was an amazing place with lots of different dates. We went to Palm Springs Art Museum - excellent. We did a trail guide up the Tahquitz Canyon. The Ranger gave us the history of the Indians who had lived there and the plants they had used for StOM Page 11
