Aberfoyle
Mariapolis is the annual meeting of members and friends of the Focolare
Movement, an international Christian movement which seeks to work for
peace and unity in society. Focolare is open to people of all faiths and no
formal religious conviction, so the Mariapolis is open to anyone who wishes
to work for a more united world.

The Craigmore Centre, Gartmore House, near Aberfoyle, Stirlingshire
The Mariapolis weekend will begin on Friday afternoon with registration
at 3 pm and finish on Sunday afternoon.

Men’s Sheds Development Project Report No 5
Activity since last report:
Recruiting members for Men’s Shed group
Held first meeting of Men’s Shed pilot group
General admin & record keeping etc.
Met with minister from East Kilbride Baptist Church re community
engagement
Set up membership account with Community Transport Glasgow (for
group travel to other Men’s Sheds)
Communication with other agencies
Attend & report to Vestry meeting
Liaise with funders for “Keys to Life”
Meetings with volunteer researcher
Book stall at Castlemilk Fun Day & make arrangements
Arrange visit to Hamilton Men’s Shed with their Chair
Results:
Men’s Shed group running. 1st meeting took place on 17th May with 7
men attending
Contact with local projects increasing and awareness raised
Men’s Shed group have visited another shed in Hamilton, shared lunch
together
Donation of bedding plants received from Castlemilk Gardening Club.
