Addendum to St Oswald’s Magazine:

Property Report November 2015
It has been a busy time at the church and a big thank you goes to all
of the church family for pitching in and making St. Oswald’s a place
of welcome and hope.
I have to say how happy it made Lesley-Ann and me to see so many
faces at the big clear out and tidy day. You were all wonderful and
worked like Trojans! Special thanks to John for all his labour, ladder
carrying and cleaning of the dunny! (I must say the term dunny still
makes me smile as this is also used to describe a toilet!).
The big jobs are now completed:
The drains – Dug up, blockage removed (2 metres of
drainage rod and plunger held in place by a rod securing
the handrail, which pierced the pipe!), pipe replaced, back
filled and re-surfaced.
Outside lighting – Thanks to John (Christina and John) for
all the help with electrics. We had to replace the PIR unit,
junction box and a number of bulbs to get them working. It
is great to see the church lights come on at dusk and off in
the morning. This helps with security and the safety of user
groups. You can now see where you are walking on those
dark nights.
Smaller Jobs completed:
Padlock replaced on Garden gate.
Small padlock replaced on internal cupboard in hall.
(Behind the organ and housing the PA system.)
Guttering unblocked
Leak by entrance door repaired.
Radiator in Vestry repaired and now working. Room is
much warmer.
Boiler serviced.
Rear garden tidy has started.
Lectern repaired. (Clamped and glued as had come loose
at base)
