Walk in my Shoes: Stories by Muslim Women in Canberra is a collection
of digital stories by eight Canberra Muslim women. These remarkable and
personal stories provide an insight into what it is like to be a Muslim woman in
Canberra at this time in Australian history. The project was produced by
PhotoAccess in partnership with Gen S Stories, and funded by an ACT
Government 2014-15 Participation (Women's) Grant. After the stories were
screened at the Community Diversity Festival an attentive audience heard one
of the women, Sarwat Maqbool interviewed by Madeleine Lacroix, a FrenchCanadian now resident in Canberra. Madeleine (left) and Sarwat (2nd from
