Diary Dates
Saturday 26 October, Hackett Party at the Shops. 11 AM to 3 PM. Food,
music, dancing displays, hand-made gifts, second-hand books and
clothes. St Margaret’s and Holy Cross will have a shared stall providing
information to the community. Our Good Faith choir will be singing there
from 11.30 until 12 noon.
Sunday 10 November, our Good Faith choir will join with Kaleidoscope
choir to present a concert in our church.
Saturday 16 November, Holy Cross Fete
Sunday 24 November, our Good Faith choir will join with Kaleidoscope
choir to present a repeat concert in the Queanbeyan Uniting Church.
Sunday 1 December, Good Faith and Holy Rosary choirs will join
together to sing at a joint Advent Service at 7.30 PM.
Wednesday 11 to Sunday 15 December. A joint St Margaret’s/Holy
Cross/Holy Rosary event: “North Canberra Nativity Festival” in our large
hall. More than 400 nativity displays from around the world will be on
exhibition. School groups will be invited to visit on the school days. On
the final day there will be a BBQ at 6 PM, followed by outdoor carols at
7PM.
Contributions Wanted
All members of St Margaret’s and the broader Hackett-Downer-
Watson community are invited to contribute articles and photo-
graphs about things that have happened or are going to happen at
the St Margaret’s/Holy Cross complex or in the local community.
Articles about members of the community’s own involvements in
things of interest to others in the community may also be submitted
for potential publication. The deadline for material for the next
issue is 8 November 2019, with that issue being published on 15
November. Material should be given to the editor Brian Rope or to
Lynda at the church office. It may be handwritten or typed. It may
be posted, emailed or personally delivered. The Editor reserves the
right to edit, or even not use, material.
