New Minister for St Ninian’s St Ninian’s Uniting Church is getting a new minister, Rev Neil Millar, an Anglican minister. He is known to the St Margaret’s congregation (having preached for us) and has been Chris Lockley’s pastoral practitioner supervi- sor. Neil started at St Ninian’s on 12 November providing long-term supply ministry. Neil has worked as a youth minister, parish priest, theological educator and aged-care chaplain. A walker of ancient pilgrim paths, Neil relishes the feel of pack and staff, and the road stretching ahead. Neil is co-founder of the Bene- dictus community, a contemplative church, with his partner Sarah Bachelard. Sarah is a theologian, retreat leader and priest in Anglican orders, and author of Experiencing God in a time of Crisis (2012) and Resurrection and Moral Imagination (2014). Sarah also founded and runs the Benedictus community, a contemplative church currently meeting in the Holy Covenant Anglican church at Cook. Having both Neil and Sarah in North Canberra will be good assets in the inner north.
