Community Diversity Festival Put it in your diaries now: Following the success of our inaugural community Diversity festival in 2015, another will be held on Saturday 28 August this year, with celebrations of community diversity, particularly as reflected in our Stepping Stones For Life Friday Activities and Ross Walker Lodge, the following day at our morning worship. Planning is about to commence so there are no details to provide yet. However, it is expected that most, if not all, of the participants from last year will join in again, along with some new community groups. A suggestion made at the recent Church Planning Day may possibly see the addition of a display of art, craft and photography by members of the congregation and, perhaps, others. People who would be interested in displaying their works are asked to speak with Brian Rope. If you have any ideas for the day and/or would be interested in being involved in the planning, please speak with one of the existing members of the organising committee - Brian Rope, Chris Lockley, Robin Bennett and Joel Swadling. Contributions Wanted All members of St Margaret’s and the broader Hackett-DownerWatson community are invited to contribute articles and photographs about things that have happened or are going to happen at the St Margaret’s/Holy Cross complex or in the local community. Articles about members of the community’s own involvements in things of interest to others in the community may also be submitted for potential publication. The deadline for material for the next issue is 8 April, with that issue being published on 15 April. Material should be given to the editor Brian Rope or to Lynda at the church office. It may be handwritten or typed. It may be posted, emailed or personally delivered. The Editor reserves the right to edit, or even not use, material. St Margaret’s News 6 Ma rch 2016
