Captain Cook and His Majesty’s Barque Endeavour will visit Australia next

I took the photos below and opposite when I had the privilege to organise for a
group of young Canberrans with disabilities and life-threatening illnesses to sail
on the Young Endeavour on Sydney harbour in 1988. It was a wet and very
windy day. The only people not to feel nauseous on the ship were the blind
young people who couldn’t see the horizon moving rapidly up and down. A
young Joanne Bishop was on board and can be seen at the left of the top
picture opposite.
