PARENTS, TINIES & TODDLERS DANCE
St Margaret ' s Hall, 10am-11am on Tuesdays during school terms
If you hear music, laughter and occasional squeals of joyfulness on a Tuesday morning at St Margaret ' s, that will likely be coming from the PARENTS, TINIES AND TODDLERS DANCE class. This fun and creative dance and movement class is for parents( or grandparents) and their young children, from babes in arms up to 4yrs.
Conducted by dance and child development professional Jane Ingall, the class has been established for 12 years and is unique and much loved in Canberra.
The dance, music and movement activities:
• emphasise playfulness, parent-child relationship, creativity and fun
• explore the use of space and different parts of the body through dance; and include experience of rhythm and mood in music
• provide a joyful pathway for developing body confidence and expression as well as body co-ordination and motor skills
• cover a range of themes through dance and include adapted folk and cultural dances
Participants find they enjoy dancing with other parents and children and friendships form. A sense of community and connectedness is a feature.
Fee per family: $ 15 per Class or $ 90 per Term If you ' re not sure if this class will suit your children- try it out, paying $ 15, and then if you decide to pay for the Term, the $ 15 will be deducted from the Term fee.
Commence at any time during the term. 10 classes per ACT school term. No classes in 3 rd term.
