Bits and Pieces

Our famous soup lunches will again feature monthly during the coming colder months of May , June , July , August - after Sunday morning worship services . Watch the weekly pew sheet for dates .
There are plans to purchase new speaker management system software to improve the quality of sound from the existing BOSE speaker in the church .
There are also plans to acquire and instal a new mixer desk in the church , subject to consultation with the St Margaret ’ s and Holy Cross musicians about its and their locations .
There has been discussion about acquiring some large TV screens for the church , replacing the current projection screen . No decision has been made about this yet .
Fork and Talk continues in various homes each month on third Friday evenings . For those who are not already aware , the arrangements are that the hosts provide the main course , others take either a salad or a dessert to share and make a modest contribution towards the costs of the main course .
People interested in joining those who already participate in these events are encouraged to speak with Robyn Swadling about it .
As reported in the previous issue , there has been some comment about the colours , fonts and sizes used in our worship service PowerPoint presentations . On 11 April there was a trial of black writing against a white background . What did you think of it ? Was it any better or worse ? Please let any of the projectionists know how you found it and give them whatever other comments you have so that all views can be taken into consideration . This request for feedback is for those participating via zoom as well as those attending in person - Paul Branson is now sharing the PowerPoint presentations via Zoom .
