Remembering Max Hill OAM

Max Hill OAM was born on 27 March 1919 and died on 14 March 2021 . He was something of a legend in the ACT ’ s Uniting Church circles .

Max ’ s drive and energy , supported by family and the community , established Greenhills Conference Centre at Stromlo for all to enjoy , way back in 1965 .

God said “ I have a little job for you ”

At the time of his 100th birthday , the Canberra Times wrote ‘ Max Hill is a pragmatic man . A thanksgiving service was held in the building named after Max and his wife at Greenhills - the Max & Zeta Hill Building - on 16 April .
