Good Friday Prayer Thoughts
During the joint Good Friday service
with Holy Cross, members of the large
congregation had an opportunity to
identify places, situations or people
where there is violence and injustice,
suffering and loss.
Each place, situation and person
named by members of the congrega-
tion were recorded on post-it slips and
hung from the cross that had been
carried in at the start of the
Service, whilst the choir sang “By Your
Cross”.
All our prayers, spoken and unspoken,
were then gathered in the prayer that
Jesus taught us.
