A RECIPE FROM THE CHEF SEPTEMBER 2018 CHEF BURGIN’S Chefs Banana Pudding from the Low Country Boil Ingredients: 2/3 Cup White Sugar 2 Tablespoons Softened Butter 1/3 Cup All Purpose Flour 2 Cups Milk 1/4 Teaspoon Salt 2 Bananas Peeled and Sliced 3 Eggs Beaten 12 Ounces Vanilla Wafers 1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract Whipped Cream Directions: In a medium saucepan combine sugar, flour, and salt. Add beaten eggs and stir well. Add milk and cook over low heat, stirring constantly. When mixture begins to thicken, remove from heat and continue to stir, cooling slightly. Stir in butter and vanilla until pudding is smooth. Layer pudding with bananas and vanilla wafers in a serving dish. Chill for at least one hour. Serve topped with whipped cream. Enjoy! Chef Burgin 8
