The Club was humming with activity in August and we will not be
slowing down going into September! Please keep an eye out for
our events and social activities. Our calendar contains the monthly
schedule, please be sure to review this carefully so that you don’t miss
out on the Club’s programs!
Thank you to everyone who participated in the WLGO on August 6th., The event raised
over $300,000 nationally and all proceeds will go towards the Fisher House Foundation,
veterans and their families who are in need of housing facilities provided during medical
treatment at local VA Hospitals.
The construction on the putting green and new short game area is underway, thank you
for your patience as the greens and surrounds grow in. The Club will announce when
these facilities will be ready for us, however; in the interim, please avoid these areas as
the Superintendent and his staff work hard to prepare these amenities for use.
September at St. Johns also means the Club Championship is here, held on the 8th and
9th. Make sure to register with Jonathan in the Golf Shop for the chance to complete in
this 36 holes, individual, stroke play event!
Finally, we have a great opportunity for Couples this month to participate in a Tubular
Awesome 80’s Night. On Saturday, September 22nd we will be hosting a couples 9-hole
golf tournament followed by a radical 80’s themed party complete with bodacious beats
(music) and a gnarly buffet dinner. Make sure to RSVP and bust out the parachute pants,
because we will be having prizes for the Best Dressed Couple!
Sincerely,
Ben Pasquith
General Manager
