Hello St. Johns Members!
This month I’d like to talk about our newest fleet of golf carts, the beginning of our bunker
renovation, the completion of our short-game areas, and a new event we will be adding to
this month.
First, I’d like to welcome the newest fleet of EZ-GO RXV ELITE golf carts! We have decided
to continue our relationship with EZ-GO and are confident that these new carts, with
lithium batteries should reduce costs and maintenance, meaning more golf and fewer
problems! Make sure to check them out and let us know what you think about the new
color!
Next is long awaited bunker renovation. The maintenance crew has begun the process of
replacing the old sand with new granular sand (G-Sand) that is firmer and very white! We
have begun working on #9 and #18 and will continue hole-by-hole until we’ve touched
every hole. You may see a crew out on the golf course during play, so please make sure to
be aware of their equipment and team. I’d also recommend practicing your bunker shots
with a wedge that has a sharper leading edge!
Lastly, the short game areas are near completion! The construction and grow-in has gone
tremendously well and we expect to be open on time. If you have lost touch with your
short game since we’ve began renovation, please let us know and we would be happy
to contact either Tom Burnett or South Hampton so that you may use their short game
facilities in the meantime.
