LETTER FROM YOUR GENERAL MANAGER FA L L 2 0 1 8 St Johns Members, It seemed like it may never come, but Fall golf is finally here and the drop in temperatures are very welcome. We hope everyone will be able to come out to the club and enjoy the weather. Thanksgiving falls early this year, on the 22nd, so now is the time to start thinking how you will be entertaining your family while they are in town. We will be hosting our annual “Turkey Shoot” Golf Tournament with an 8:30 shotgun start and as is tradition, everyone who participates will take home one of Chef’s homemade sweet potato or pumpkin pies. To sign up, call the Golf Shop and register your team! On Black Friday, we will be hosting a Family BINGO Night in the Dining Room beginning at 6:30 PM. This is a great way to relax and enjoy dinner after a long day of shopping. Also, speaking of shopping, our annual Golf Shop sale will begin at 6:30 AM the 23rd and run through the evening. As an additional perk, for every $50 spent during the sale, you will receive an extra “Free” space that can be used during BINGO. We expect to have the Putting Green and Short Game Area open for use very soon. Both greens have grown in exceptionally well and we have taken the extra steps to make sure they are consistent to our playing conditions before opening. Bunker renovation will also be completed this month. There will still be some residual areas that may require touch up around bunker edges, but we will address these through the Fall.
