We are excited to host our golf course to
different charity events and organizations
that benefit our community directly. Without
access to a quality facility and staff like
St. Johns Golf & Country Club, it would be
tough for our friends and neighborhoods
to raise the funds needed to be successful,
and that is something we can be proud of
every day here. On days where there may
be limited tee times, we look forward to
assisting any members or guests this month
with access to some of reciprocal courses in
the area.
This month will also host several member
events such as the Couples Club
Championship and the ever-popular Lions
versus Legends. The 2019 Couples Club
Championship will be a 12:30 pm shotgun
on Sunday, November 17th. Couples will
play a best-ball format for all 18-holes.
Depending on participation, teams will be
flighted according to their team handicap.
Players may play from their respective tee
box depending on their age. Any requests to
play from a non-respective tee box must be
approved by the professional staff. Players
must have an established handicap and
teams must consist of one male and one
female.
The Lions vs. Legends will be hosted on
Saturday, November 9th. This event will take
6
Thursday, November 28th – Thanksgiving Day
(8:30 AM Shotgun)
place of the standard Saturday Game for
both men and ladies. Tee times will begin
at 8:00 AM on both #1 and #10 tee box.
After registration has closed, teams and
pairings will be announced to the players
prior to the weekend. The field of players
will be divided into two teams depending
on the field’s ages. The younger team will be
referred to as the Lions and the older team
will be referred to as the Legends. Players
will then be matched with their handicap
index counterpart and play 18-holes until the
match has been completed. The team with
the most points at the end of all the matches
will be recognized as the winner and cash
will be distributed accordingly.
Registration for both events will be taken
on Golf Genius so please keep an eye
out for the links in your email’s inbox.
Players may also register in the golf shop.
Please make sure to provide all the proper
information required for both events. If you
have any questions regarding the month of
November, please email or call me directly
and I’d be happy to assist you.
Sincerely,
Jonathan Dick
