St Johns Newsletter June | Page 4

LETTER FROM THE GENERAL MANAGER St. Johns Members, We are excited to wrap up May and are looking forward to the start of June. The adjustments to our COVID-19 operations are changing frequently and we will continue to closely monitor as state and federal restrictions are lifted. We still consider what our “new normal” daily life will look like, but the encouragement and support you show will help provide direction for St. Johns! Thank you all for your continued membership! We would like to congratulate Brad Calkins for being named our new Head Professional! Brad has been with St. Johns since the summer of 2018 and we are happy to have him lead our golf department. This is a great step forward for Brad, and we know he is eager to jump into his new position. The maintenance team will be aerifying greens June 2nd and 3rd. Each day, we will have 9- holes open for play. Please contact the Pro Shop to set your tee times. If you wish to play 18-holes, you will be asked to play the same nine twice. We are beginning to make small, careful, adjustments to our COVID-19 operations. By request only, two riders may now occupy the same cart. Please inform the Pro Shop if you wish to share a cart. Also, sand buckets are now being provided on golf carts. The scoops will be sanitized by staff following each round. Please continue to take all required measures to help keep everyone healthy and safe! The Competition Committee recently met to help discuss the fall tournament schedule. We will have a full detail list of events available soon, but two big decisions were made. With the assistance of the recent survey, the Member-Guest will be held and is scheduled for October 22nd-24th. As a result, the Member-Member has been moved to August 21st-23rd. More tournament details will be available shortly. Best regards, Ben Pasquith General Manager 4
