Dear Members,
What another exciting season we’ve had here at
St. Johns Golf & Country Club! The golf course
has been amazing, the weather is unbeatable,
and all our events and league play are growing!
Thank you to all the members that have
participated in our golf events and making them
a huge success.
July is a special month for our club as we
enter the end of the golf season. It marks the
beginning of summer (even though it’s felt
like summer for a couple months now), the
golf course will begin to take shape with lush
fairways and rough, and the pace of play is
always good, no matter what day of the week!
It’s also a very special month because this is the
time of the year that we show South Hampton
and Cimarrone that we are the best club on
Country Road 210 with excellent guest service,
premier playing conditions and overwhelming
victories! St. Johns will be hosting the final
round for each of our Men’s, Women’s and
Junior 210 Cup teams so please come out and
support us as we compete for the 2019 210
Cups!
A few other great events that we will be hosting
this month are the 1776 Golf Tournament and
the 2019 Junior Club Championship. The 1776
Tournament is an Individual Stableford format
where players create their own tee times and
pairings. The objective is to collect 76 Stableford
Points after the 17th hole. Bonus points are
awarded on our 4th and 13th hole in spirit of
the 4th of July, and our original 13 colonies.
This is always a fun and unique event and we
look forward to your participation so make
sure to register today! The 2019 Junior Club
Championship is also right around the corner.
This year, our top-3 placing juniors will have a
chance to compete on our very first Junior 210
Cup team! If you have or know of a junior that
would like to compete in this event, please let
them know and see if they would be interested
in being a part of this history!
Lastly, we will be punching the greens, fairways,
and tee boxes on July 30th and 31st. We will
be open during these days as we will work on
the front nine and back nine on separate days.
However, if you would like to play elsewhere,
please call the golf shop so we can assist you
and your group with finding some local golf
courses to travel to for the time being.
