LETTER FROM THE MEMBERSHIP DIRECTOR 2019 St. Johns Family, Excited doesn’t even begin to describe my emotion as we reveal future plans for the clubhouse. I know I jump in pure joy with each and every one of you. Most of you have watched our club grow and mold over the past two decades. It was never an expectation for the clubhouse to be a venue to host the events it does now. It is because of you continued support of the club that we are able to expand our current footprint and offer so much more to your dining and social experience on property. I know a lot of you remember the days of The Shrimp Fest and Oyster Roast. As we reveal a new event lawn I can’t help but want to host these events again! There will be more than enough room to host full events on the event lawn during the spring and summer months as we watch the sunset over the 18th green. In addition to the event lawn we will also be adding an outdoor bar to our current patio. This will be a location where you can dine on the water or sit to enjoy happy hour each day of the week. The largest addition will be the new event room. This room will be able to host events for up to 200 guests for a seated dinner and plenty more with cocktail hour feel. I foresee it primarily being used for weddings, but know we look forward to hosting any corporate or fundraising event you may need. With the golf course in the back drop and hints of reclaimed wood throughout the venue it will be a premier location for local banquets and events. What I get most excited about is the fact that the added space allows us to still host member dining while these events are taking place! As you can imagine, as soon as we announce this to the public dates will begin selling out fast. If you have a social event you would like to see on the member calendar or a private event we can help you throw, please reach out.
