Coach’s Tips on Driving Posture The Front view is concerned primarily with soine tilt, ball position and weight distribution. At set-up there should be a slight spine tilt to the right. This tilt, the ball position and width of your stance are determined by the length of your club. Your Driver will require a stance where your feet are just outside your shoulder width. Wood / Driver (60% Right, 40% Left) Your ball position should be in-line with your left armpit. The down-the-line view of your posture is primarily con- cerned with the balance of the body weight from front to back. The angles the body creates with proper alignment, keeps the weight on the balls of the feet. 60% 40% You should be able to balance a golf club shaft so that it would pass from the middle of the shoulders, through the elbows, the butt of the club, knees and ends with the balls of your feet. Weight distribution for your driver should have the majority of your weight on your back foot.
