AFFORDABLE ACCESSORIES

As we enter into the hot months of summer, what is the one item all girls are looking for? Yes, cute swimwear, and I found a great site. Whether it is very modest or a two piece this site has it all. My favorite swim set has diamond shapes all over the shirt, different in shades of blue, the skirt is all blue, and last there are yoga type pants to go underneath. This site also offers swim dresses in very bright appealing colors and one and two piece suits. For more on these awesome suits checkout www. modli. com.

SPRING AND SUMMER FASHION

Spring and summer colors this year are cornflower blue, bright yellow, ink blue, orange red, aqua, pale pink, and hot pink. Most fashionable dresses will be flowy or ruffled. One of these dresses is blue with white flower, but this can come in many different patterns. Some of these are blue or green diamond shapes with designs around them. You can get this in black and white stripes as well.

SHE-SHED OF THE MONTH

This month’ s she-shed has light bluish colored door frames, window frames, and roofing, with an even lighter yellow colored siding. On the outside, we have a spacious porch large enough to accommodate a bench like the one there, or you could replace it with a small table and chairs to entertain a friend. On the other side of the porch, we have plenty of room for potted plants to brighten up the area. For that area, I’ d recommend a little outdoor storage trunk to put underneath the window so that everything wasn’ t so close to the ground. Moving to the inside, we see a counter space with cabinets underneath to store anything from food to books to your secret stash of chocolate. To the right we have an easel to paint the scenery, or you can just have space to work on that special hobby you could never find the room for anywhere else.

Today we’ re going to focus on pillows. I’ m choosing this for summer because you can use pillows inside or outside. So pick out two pieces of material, same size, same quality, and match them up, good sides together. Next, pin them together. The fun thing about making pillows is that they can basically be any size, and any pattern. Once you finish pinning, sew the sides leaving a small, probably about 3 inches or so, space unsewn. Turn it inside out through the small hole so that the good sides are showing, and insert stuffing, which you can find at most sewing stores, in through that same hole, and finish either by hand sewing or machine sewing.
