This special edition of the Office of Student Recruitment & Outreach celebrates a journey of ten years since the inception of the office in 2008. Since the start of this journey, the office was set up to respond to a local and regional need to increase awareness and educate the younger population, schools and parents about the importance of preparing for a career in science and medicine as early as middle and high school.
Throughout the years, the organic growth of the office provided a great platform for the evolution of its programs and mandate. These evolved in more recent years to encompass programs specially crafted to develop and prepare prospective students, both academically and emotionally, for college life in general and medicine in particular. We have also been engaged in several cultivation programs to promote the initiatives of the Qatari community and help develop and support not only students, but also school personnel, administrators and officials.
