The biggest change that I have seen in myself is in the way that I think. My critical thinking skills have become sharper, I have become an independent thinker, and my goals are more focused than before. My experience at WCMQ has made me into someone who is not afraid to ask questions, someone who can skillfully manage her time, and most importantly, someone who is able to be patient and persevere through unexpected challenges. These two years have made me a student who is humbled by the vastness of today’s knowledge and likewise grateful for the professors who invest in my passion to understand this knowledge. Overall, WCMQ has made me into a more dedicated, organized, and appreciative student, and I look forward to my continued growth in the next four years and onward.

My experience in Cornell over the past two years has been very fruitful and rewarding in several different aspects. It has further cultivated my interest in the art and science of Medicine. I have always strived to participate in the Cornell community as every experience is an opportunity for self development, and an opportunity to give back to the community. Being my class representative for MSEC, an executive member in many of the clubs that Cornell offers, and introducing two new clubs over the past year has provided me with the opportunity to enhance my leadership, team work, and interpersonal communication skills amongst many other skills that are essential to be a successful physician. The several research projects I’m involved in provided me with an insight into the workings of the scientific community and it has further cultivated my ever-growing love for science.
