The 2 minute challenge
Want to show an observer that students quickly engage with learning ?
Try setting a 2 minute challenge . Already on the board before they enter , and if done regularly , then students will learn that their initial task is there , giving them the opportunity to swiftly engage in learning . The 2 minute challenge can be linked to prior or future learning .
E . g . Anagrams , puzzles , odd one out ( great for encouraging deep thinking )
