The 2 minute challenge

Want to show an observer that students quickly engage with learning?
Try setting a 2 minute challenge. Already on the board before they enter, and if done regularly, then students will learn that their initial task is there, giving them the opportunity to swiftly engage in learning. The 2 minute challenge can be linked to prior or future learning.
E. g. Anagrams, puzzles, odd one out( great for encouraging deep thinking)
