SHILES' STORY
Dear Member,
The New Year in 2020 has begun where we left off in 2019. The weather was perfect for much of the month in
January, the golf course is in great condition, golfers are producing record revenue numbers, Ladies Night Out was
attended by 90 members and their guests and all other member events were well attended, and fun was had by all.
Our team has put the successes of 2019 in the rear-view mirror and have vowed to continue to find ways to improve
the member experience in 2020. Membership growth is off to a great start and I encourage each of you to refer
someone for membership and earn a dues credit once they are a member for 6 months.
If you rent your home, you may transfer your membership privileges to your renter for the entirety of their stay.
They will receive the same privileges you enjoy for your membership type. This is a great marketing tool when trying
to rent your home.
When you are at the pool or having a cocktail on the upstairs terrace, please be considerate of your fellow members
if you are smoking and make sure it is not infringing on their experience. We ask that you do not smoke in the
pool and please use the ashtrays provided. On the terrace, please be aware of which way the wind is blowing the
smoke when others are dining or enjoying a cocktail around you. Thank you for continuing to be considerate of all
members.
I have witnessed great cooperation from our staff as they serve you as well as members working together and with
our team in organizing golf, dining and bocce events. Please continue to join us on Monday, Wednesday and Friday
for Happy Hour, on Mondays for Pub Night, Trivia Night and Music Bingo and for our monthly member dinner
dances. Participation drives the member experience and the full enjoyment membership at the Club can bring.
Our entire team is looking forward to a great 2020 and will continue to strive to provide you with a fun and
enjoyable experience each day.
