SLAS OLYMPICS
Olympics Day was a breath of fresh air for SLAS students as a celebration of health, sports and the competitive spirt. Experiencing this latest event, students were thoroughly entertained. Some enjoyed their favourite sports while others found their new interests. Students played soccer, basketball, and volleyball. Among the students, soccer was the most popular sport. Whenever there was a soccer game, all the students gathered to watch and cheer for their house. Other than all the fun that the students had, they were able to feel their connections to all houses once again. Competing with other houses, students fostered their wildcat spirit and created stronger bonds with teammates. Since SLAS is not a boarding school, students were never able to achieve remarkable house spirits. As the first year of Olympics Day, there were obstacles and struggles experienced by everyone. Many believe that the event would get canceled as it was postponed due to a typhoon. Yet, it ended as a huge success. So, let’ s all support and wait for next year’ s Olympics Day!
