We are excited about the amazing articles in this issue. The feature article in this edition of The Missouri Reader (pg. 6). gives you 55 ways to celebrate poetry. Using the information from this article and our special poetry Issue from Winter of 2019, readers can find literally hundreds of ideas about how to use poetry to enhance literacy. That should come in very handy during April, which is National Poetry Month. We hope you enjoy doing all these activities with your students. We want to give special thanks to David L. Harrison and his fellow poets for all their hard work on both projects.

The research article by Dr. Song and Dr. Butterfield has implications for all teachers of English Learners - do not miss it!

You will also find great ideas to motivate you and enhance your teaching practices in the articles by Debbie Diller, Evan Robb, Kelly Byrd, and our other contributing authors.

If you would like to become a contributing author, please see the submission guidelines on the last page of this issue.

Happy National Poetry Month!

Sam & Glenda
