The above verse in Proverbs says it perfectly. A friend loves at all times.
You might be a little confused about what this even means, because honestly, pop culture has destroyed the meaning of love too. Love has become a word tossed around that has little or no meaning to lots of people. Instead of becoming an action, love has become a word or a feeling. Not something to be given, but something to be taken. And that’s where the world has it wrong.
Because love is all about giving. Love has the power to change the world when we give it unselfishly and unconditionally. Is it easy? Absolutely not. Is it worth it? Every time.
But what exactly does it look like to be a loving friend? Here are just a few ways to be a friend who loves at all times:
1. Pray for your friends. This is a big one, girls! Every single one of us is fighting a battle in our lives or going through a valley that sometimes not even our best friends know about. Make sure you’re praying for your friends, even when you don’t know exactly what they’re going through. Your prayers will make a huge impact. God is listening to every prayer you pray. So pray like it! And thank God for your friends every day. They are a blessing to you, so thank Him for that!
