Enjoy some fun on the farm with your preschooler while they gain communication , social-emotional , and motor skills . Play groups will include songs , stories , movement , arts , crafts and free play time , along with a visit to a different animal or place on the farm each day . Each child must be accompanied by an adult . Register in advance for a discounted rate . Drop-ins are welcome for a $ 10 / day fee .

During each of these fun programs , participants will get up-close and meet a farm animal and then create a beautiful work of art inspired by their encounter . In March , make your own chicken on a nest . In April , create a cow or calf puppet on a stick . In May , make a portrait of a pig .

Visit Wagner Farm ' s milking parlor to participate in a milking demonstration and explore the many ways people have been using dairy throughout time . Participants will learn how milk is taken from the cow to the table and make their own ice cream to enjoy . Children 7 and under must be accompanied by an adult .

Join us in our 1920 ’ s farmhouse kitchen to bake delicious treats on the wood-fire stove using 1920s recipes . In March , make cookies inspired by spring ; in April , bake fresh donuts ; and in May , create cupcakes with seasonal fruit .
