In April , we ' ll make small stuffed animals and in May , decorative penny rugs . The techniques used will be modified for age and ability levels , so these are perfect programs for families ! Children 7 and under must be accompanied by an adult .

During each of these fun programs , participants will get up-close and meet a farm animal and then create a beautiful work of art inspired by their encounter . In April , we ' ll meet chickens and create chicken-inspired mobiles . In May , we ' ll meet a cow and create mixed-media portraits of our bovine friend .

Visit Wagner Farm ' s milking parlor to participate in a milking demonstration and explore the many ways people have been using dairy throughout time . Participants will learn how milk is taken from the cow to the table and make their own ice cream to enjoy . Children 7 and under must be accompanied by an adult .

Spend the morning with your family learning to cook an authentic 1920s farmhouse breakfast on a wood burning stove ; then sit down to enjoy the meal you created . The menu will include eggs , breakfast meat , pancakes , fried apples , and even a few surprises ! Participants under 14 years old must be accompanied by an adult .
