SILENT AUCTION RULES Bidding: To make a bid for a Silent Auction item, please write your name, contact details and the amount you wish to bid on the corresponding sheet. Each subsequent raise must follow the minimum bid increment listed on each bidding sheet. Bids not adhering to this format will be ruled invalid. Close of silent auction: Each auction will close at the time noted on the bidding sheet. At this time the highest bid that adheres to the designated increment on the corresponding bid sheet will be declared the winner. Winners: The list of winners will be posted at the Silent Auction table. Payment: Payment must be made in full on the day of the auction. Payment may be made with cash, cheque, Visa or MasterCard. Pickup of items: Items can be picked up on the day or arrangements made to pick up at the school after the event. General terms & conditions: Auction item purchases are final. No returns or exchanges will be issued, nor is it possible for expiration dates to be extended. Items that have specific conditions cannot be altered. The PAL Committee will mediate any disputes among bidders and that determination shall be final. Loreto Normanhurst and the PAL committee will not be held responsible for any personal injuries or damages to property that may result from the purchase or use of any item. The PAL Committee has endeavoured to catalogue and describe items correctly, but all items are sold “as is” and the Committee and Loreto Normanhurst neither warrants nor represents, and will in no event be held responsible for the correctness of description, genuineness or condition of the item. No statement contained in the program or made orally at the sale or elsewhere will be deemed to be an assumption of Liability. The PAL Committee reserves the right to withdraw any item for sale prior to the call for bids. Please note participation in the auction constitutes acceptance by the bidder of all rules and conditions as set out in this document.
