meet the 1st assistant golf pro
Matt grew up in Greene County, VA
and attended college at James Madison
University in Harrisonburg, VA, earning
both Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in
Sports Management and Administration.
After graduating and spending a few
years in the sales industry, Matt decided
to return the sport he grew up playing
and attended the Golf Academy of
America in Orlando, FL. Upon completing
his time at the Golf Academy of America,
Matt returned to Virginia and began
working at Wintergreen Resort, where he
spent 7 years as an Assistant Professional
and Head Professional at Stoney Creek
and Devils Knob golf courses. Matt
earned his PGA Class A Membership in
May of 2017.
